2024 AVC Challenge Cup for Women in Manila
The Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) is hosting the 2024 Challenge Cup for Women in Manila. The event features the newly named Alas Pilipinas among the 10 competing teams at the historic Rizal Memorial Coliseum from May 22 to 29.
Tournament Format
The 10 teams are divided into Pool A and Pool B. They will compete in a single round-robin elimination phase. The top two teams from each pool will advance to the cross-pool semifinals, while the lower-ranked teams will enter the classification stage.
The tournament winner secures a spot in the 2024 FIVB Women’s Challenger Cup, scheduled to be held in the Philippines from July 4 to 7. If the host team, Alas Pilipinas, reaches the Challenge Cup final, the opposing team in the gold-medal match will automatically qualify for the Challenger Cup.
