The PELÍCULA>Pelikula Spanish Film Festival is a celebration of Spanish cinema, featuring a diverse selection of films that cater to different interests and themes. This year’s festival kicks off with a special focus on sports, aligning with the excitement of the last match of La Liga, the top division of the Spanish football league system.
Screenings and Schedule
From May 23 to 26, four Spanish language films will be showcased at the Shangri-La Plaza’s Red Carpet Theatre in Mandaluyong, offering audiences a unique cinematic experience. These screenings serve as a prelude to the main Festival, scheduled for the first week of October.
Free Entrance and Language
All screenings at the PELÍCULA>Pelikula Spanish Film Festival are open to the public free of charge, operating on a first-come, first-served basis. The films will be presented in Spanish with English subtitles, ensuring accessibility for a diverse audience.

The festival is made possible through the collaborative efforts of Instituto Cervantes, the Embassy of Spain in the Philippines, the AECID, and La Liga, in partnership with Shangri-La Plaza’s Red Carpet Theatre and the Film Development Council of the Philippines.
