Rescue Efforts in Hualien, Taiwan After Earthquake
Nine individuals have been successfully rescued from a winding cave in Taiwan’s mountainous east following the recent magnitude-7.4 earthquake. However, the search continues for others who remain missing, with two individuals located but feared dead.
Current Situation
The official death toll from the earthquake remains at 10. In Hualien county, the most severely affected area, two additional individuals were discovered on a hiking trail with “no signs of life,” pending official confirmation of their deaths.
