Excitement Builds for Angel Canino’s Return
Injured UAAP women’s volleyball MVP Angel Canino continues to excite fans on her return with consistently encouraging updates. La Salle remains cautious as their title defense is at stake.
Encouraging Progress
Ever since suffering a freak cut accident on her spiking arm, Canino has been on the sidelines, but her presence has been felt. From joining team huddles to participating in warmups, her progress has been evident.
Resuming Spiking Drills
The most significant development came when Canino resumed full spiking drills with the team before their match against Ateneo. Despite not playing in the game, her return to practice sparked hope among fans.
Anticipation for Return
As La Salle gears up to face UST next, fans eagerly await Canino’s potential comeback. Assistant coach Orcullo remains optimistic about her return, emphasizing the team’s focus on playing within the system.
“Today, they played extremely well. It was so solid despite still a few lapses in the third set, but the first two sets were what we’ve been looking for from them,” he continued. “Hopefully, this continues until this Saturday for the game against UST.”
“We just keep telling them, never forget to play within the system. To have a solid game, just stay together, follow instructions, and follow the system.”
