Taiwan Hit by Multiple Earthquakes
Taiwan experienced a series of at least 10 earthquakes in the early hours of Saturday, with the strongest reaching a magnitude of 6.1, as reported by the island’s Central Weather Administration.
No Tsunami Warning Issued
Despite the seismic activity, there were no reports of a tsunami warning following the earthquakes. The tremors triggered mobile phone alarms in the capital city of Taipei, according to an AFP journalist. This event occurred just days after the island was shaken by dozens of other earthquakes.
