Choco Mucho vs. Chery Tiggo Showdown
In a recent Premier Volleyball League (PVL) match, former UST teammates Sisi Rondina and Eya Laure faced off against each other. Rondina, known as the “Cherry Bomb,” led Choco Mucho to victory with an impressive performance.
Rondina’s Dominant Performance
Rondina showcased her skills by scoring 23 points and making 13 excellent receptions, securing a win for Choco Mucho with a score of 25-9, 25-23, 20-25, 25-17.
Laure’s Resilience
Despite the loss, Eya Laure proved to be a valuable player for Chery Tiggo, contributing 13 points to the team’s effort. Rondina praised Laure’s growth as a professional player under coach Kung Fu Reyes.
Former Teammates Reunite
Rondina and Laure were teammates at UST during UAAP Season 81 in 2019, where they displayed exceptional leadership that led the team to the finals. Although they now compete against each other, Rondina looks forward to seeing Laure excel in the PVL.
Petro Gazz and Cignal Victories
Meanwhile, Petro Gazz Angels secured a win against PLDT High Speed Hitters, with Brooke Van Sickle scoring 23 points. The Cignal HD Spikers also emerged victorious in their match against Galeries Tower Highrisers.
