Dwight Ramos to Continue with Levanga Hokkaido
Gilas Pilipinas star Dwight Ramos has confirmed his commitment to play for the Levanga Hokkaido team in the upcoming 2024-2025 Japan B. League season. This marks his fourth consecutive season in the B. League and his third season with Hokkaido.
Ramos’ Performance and Injury
Despite being limited to 43 games in the previous season due to an orbital fracture that required surgery, Ramos showcased his skills by averaging a career-best 10.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.5 steals per game for the Levanga Hokkaido team. Although the team did not make it to the playoffs with a 17-43 record, Ramos had standout performances throughout the season.
Notable Game Against Yokohama B-Corsairs
One of Ramos’ standout performances was against the Yokohama B-Corsairs, where he scored 25 points in a crucial 89-83 victory. This game highlighted his scoring ability and impact on the court.
Upcoming Challenges and National Team Duty
Now fully recovered from his injury, the 6-foot-4 Ramos is back in the Philippines preparing for the FIBA Olympic Qualifying tournament in Riga, Latvia, scheduled for July. He is set to represent the national team and contribute his talents to the upcoming competition.
