Alex Eala Continues Strong Performance in France
Fresh off her participation in the Miami Open, Filipina tennis player Alex Eala showcased her skills in the ITF W75 Open 3C De Seine Et Marne tournament in Croissy-Beaubourg, France.
Impressive Victory in Opening Round
In her opening match, Eala defeated wildcard entry Emeline Dartron of France with a score of 6-3, 6-4. Despite facing the homecourt advantage, Eala, ranked world No. 171, dominated the match against the world No. 483 Dartron.
Eala took control early in the match by breaking Dartron’s serve and securing a lead in the first set. She continued her strong performance, breaking Dartron again in the second set to claim victory in just one hour and 12 minutes.
Upcoming Challenges
Eala’s next challenge in the tournament is a second-round match against world No. 284 Mona Barthel of Germany. Barthel, a former top 25 player, poses a tough opponent for Eala.
Additionally, Eala will also compete in the doubles competition alongside Estelle Cascino of France. The duo will face off against Celine Naef of Switzerland and Prarthana Thombara of India in what promises to be an exciting match.
