Ateneo Captain Doromal Thanks Remaining Fans Amid Decreasing Attendance

Support the Ateneo Blue Eagles in UAAP Season 86

The Ateneo Blue Eagles, once a dominant force in women’s volleyball, are facing challenging times in the UAAP Season 86 tournament. Despite their recent losses, the team remains grateful to their loyal fans who continue to support them.

The Ateneo-La Salle Rivalry

In a recent showdown between the Ateneo Blue Eagles and the La Salle Lady Spikers, the match ended in a one-sided victory for La Salle. The long-standing rivalry between the two schools has seen La Salle emerge victorious in 13 consecutive matches, with a significant difference in fan support favoring the Lady Spikers.

Blue Eagles’ Captain’s Gratitude

Despite the dwindling fan attendance and challenging performance, Ateneo’s captain, Roma Mae Doromal, expressed her gratitude to the supporters who continue to stand by the team. She emphasized the team’s commitment to giving their best, regardless of the level of support they receive.

“Win or lose, it’s the school we choose,” Doromal stated, highlighting the team’s resilience in the face of adversity.

Hope for Ateneo’s Future

Despite their recent struggles, Ateneo has shown promise in challenging La Salle in the tournament. Legendary coach Ramil de Jesus acknowledged the young team’s potential and fighting spirit, emphasizing the importance of continued support from fans.

Now more than ever, the Ateneo Blue Eagles need the support of their fans to reignite their winning spirit and uphold the school’s values. As they navigate the challenges of UAAP Season 86, the team remains dedicated to their mantra: “This is the Ateneo way.”
