Justin Brownlee Shines in Indonesian Basketball League Debut

Gilas Pilipinas superstar Justin Brownlee wasted no time making an impact in the Indonesian Basketball League. In his first game with Pelita Jaya, Brownlee showcased his skills and led the Jakarta-based team to a convincing 85-67 victory over RANS Simba Bogor on Saturday, March 23.

Brownlee’s Stellar Performance

  • Double-double performance with 14 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals
  • Key player in Pelita Jaya’s eighth win in nine matches
  • Contributed significantly in the second quarter to secure a halftime lead

Teaming up with former PBA reinforcements Thomas Robinson and KJ McDaniels, Brownlee formed a formidable trio that dominated the game. Robinson matched Brownlee’s performance with 14 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals, while McDaniels added 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Despite a strong showing from RANS Simba’s Joshua Caldwell and Le’Bryan Nash, Pelita Jaya’s collective effort secured the victory. The team will have ample time to rest before their next game against Bima Perkasa Jogja on April 17.
