Luis ‘Chavit’ Singson Ventures into Korean Entertainment
Filipino businessman and politician Luis ‘Chavit’ Singson has announced his venture into Korean entertainment by co-producing the highly-anticipated second season of the Korean series “Vagabond.” The first season of the series, starring Lee Seung-gi, Bae Suzy, and Shin Sung-rok, originally aired in 2019 on TV network SBS before being released on Netflix.
Singson’s Involvement in the Project
Singson shared his involvement in the project during an interview at the opening of the seventh branch of bb.q Chicken in Ayala Feliz, a Korean fried chicken restaurant he introduced to the country. He mentioned having many companies and partners in Korea, with Lee Seung-gi being one of the endorsers for bb.q Chicken and also the lead in the series.
Production Details
The second episode of “Vagabond” is set to be shot in the Philippines, with the production timeline aiming for May. The team is finalizing the story to ensure a seamless shooting process. Besides Ilocos Sur, the series will feature other tourist destinations in the Philippines.
Collaboration and Future Plans
Part of the collaboration involves showcasing beautiful places in the Philippines and including Filipino artists in the series. Additionally, Singson has partnered with Korean manufacturers to produce electric vehicles for the government’s modernization program, particularly for jeepneys and tricycles.
Singson emphasized the importance of these partnerships in advancing the modernization program without the need for loans or guarantees, ensuring a smooth transition to electric vehicles.
