Chris McCullough Returns to the Philippines

Former San Miguel import Chris McCullough is set to play for Strong Group Athletics in the upcoming 43rd William Jones Cup in July. This marks his return to the Philippines after expressing interest in naturalization for Gilas.

Background

Chris McCullough, a one-time PBA champion with the San Miguel Beermen, will join Kiefer Ravena, Caelan Tiongson, and Jordan Heading in the tournament to be held in Taipei, Taiwan from July 13 to 21.

Excitement and Gratitude

McCullough expressed his excitement about returning to the Philippines, stating, “Even though it’s just for a short while, the experience of flying back, training, and being in the Philippines again is going to be amazing.” He sees this opportunity as a chance to showcase his skills and potentially attract interest from other teams.

Acknowledgments

Strong Group head coach Charles Tiu thanked former San Miguel teammate Chris Ross for connecting McCullough with the team. Tiu highlighted McCullough’s winning mentality and offensive prowess as key reasons for bringing him on board.
