The top seed, Novak Djokovic, defeated Pierre-Hugues Herbert with a score of 6-4, 7-6(3), 6-4 in the first round of the French Open. Djokovic, at 37, showcased his dominance on the court, winning 72 out of 74 first-round matches in Grand Slam tournaments.

Confidence Amid Doubts

Despite not reaching a final this year and facing threats to his world No. 1 ranking, Djokovic remained confident in his abilities. He expressed his satisfaction with the performance and emphasized the importance of Grand Slam tournaments in motivating him to excel.

Looking Ahead
