Emma Malabuyo has become the fourth Filipino gymnast to qualify for the Paris Olympics after winning the individual all-around bronze at the Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championships.

Emma Malabuyo secured her spot in the Paris Games by earning the bronze medal in the individual all-around competition at the Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. This achievement marks a significant milestone in her career.
Joining the Olympic Delegation
Malabuyo will be joining fellow gymnasts Carlos Yulo, Aleah Finnegan, and Levi Jung-Ruivivar in representing the Philippines at the upcoming Olympics. With her qualification, the Philippines will have a strong gymnastics delegation at the Paris Games.
Competition Highlights
Despite tough competition from Chinese gymnasts Hu Jiafei and Qin Xinyi, who won gold and silver, Malabuyo’s performance was outstanding. She showcased her skills in various events, including the floor exercise, vault, balance beam, and uneven bars, to secure her Olympic berth.
Jung-Ruivivar also put up a commendable performance, finishing seventh in the individual all-around competition. The Philippines’ representation in gymnastics is set to make a mark at the Paris Olympics.
With Emma Malabuyo’s qualification, the Philippines will have its largest gymnastics delegation at a single Olympics since the 1964 Tokyo Games, reflecting the country’s growing presence in international gymnastics competitions.
