The Women’s Run PH, held at the SM Mall of Asia Complex on March 10, is a celebration of women who have paved the way, broken barriers in their careers, and exemplified strength and fearlessness in their daily lives.
Meet the Inspirational Women of Women’s Run PH:
- Rosalinda Ogsimer: At 76 years old, she is the oldest female runner in the Philippines, showcasing grace and determination. She started running at 65 and overcame initial challenges to complete her first 42K marathon in 2015.
- April Perreras: A cancer survivor and Certified Cancer Exercise Specialist, Perreras empowers fellow cancer warriors through the transformative power of exercise, helping them regain strength and improve their quality of life.
- Andrea Estrella: A visually impaired national athlete in obstacle course racing, Estrella won medals at the Obstacle Course Relay World Championships, proving that disabilities are not barriers to achieving one’s goals.
- Maritess Nocyao: An Obstacle Course Relay athlete who achieved gold at the 2023 South East Asian Games, Nocyao is a fearless mother of two who believes in staying focused on her goals to reach the top.
- Thysz Estrada: A social media personality and advocate for gender-transformative legislation, Estrada is the chairperson of Pantay Tayo, a youth-led community promoting inclusivity and equality. She is also an active runner and cyclist.
