Eumir Marcial’s Fight Against Thai Thoedsak Sinam

Eumir Marcial is gearing up for the 2024 Paris Olympics by facing Thai Thoedsak Sinam in a super middleweight bout on Saturday night at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila.

Key Details of the Fight

  • Marcial, a 28-year-old southpaw from Zamboanga, is aiming for his fifth consecutive win as a professional boxer.
  • Despite Sinam’s 23-13 record with 19 knockouts, Marcial is favored to win due to his height and reach advantage.
  • Marcial stands at 5-foot-11, three inches taller than Sinam.
  • Both fighters arrived in Manila from their respective locations to prepare for the bout.

Preparation and Confidence

Marcial arrived in the Philippines from Las Vegas and completed his training in Tagaytay City.

During the weigh-in, Marcial weighed in at 165 pounds, three pounds lighter than Sinam.

Despite acknowledging Sinam’s experience and power, Marcial is confident in his ability to emerge victorious.

Future Plans

This fight is significant for Marcial as it will be his last professional bout before focusing on winning the light heavyweight boxing gold at the Paris Olympics in 2024.

Support and Guidance

Sean Gibbons, president of MP Promotions, is overseeing Marcial’s career in both the Olympics and professional boxing.

Due to a scheduling conflict, Marcial will be accompanied by assistant trainer DJ Zamora instead of his regular trainer, Kay Korona.
