Femi Edu and Kristian Porter commit to Ateneo: Young talents step up

Ateneo Recruits Femi Edu and Kristian Porter

The younger brothers of a Gilas Pilipinas standout and a former Ateneo stalwart are set to make their mark in the UAAP. Femi Edu and Kristian Porter have committed to play for Ateneo starting Season 87 of the men’s basketball tournament.

Femi Edu’s Commitment

Femi Edu, a 6-foot-4 guard and the younger brother of rising national team star AJ Edu, expressed his excitement to join Ateneo. He plans to study Computer Science and was impressed by Coach Tab Baldwin’s visit, which played a significant role in his decision.

Kristian Porter’s Dedication

Kristian Porter, a 6-foot-5 forward, has been an Atenean throughout his school life and is thrilled to continue the tradition in college. He looks forward to reuniting with his former teammates and is eager to contribute to the team.

Coach Baldwin’s Expectations

Coach Baldwin is excited about the addition of Femi and Kristian to the team. He believes Femi’s athleticism and size will be valuable assets, emphasizing the need for a smooth transition to the style of play in the Philippines. As for Kristian, Baldwin sees him as an instant impact player with a high basketball IQ and the potential to develop his skills further.

With these new recruits, Ateneo aims to strengthen its roster and compete at a high level in the upcoming season.
