FEU Lady Tamaraws Secure Final Four Berth

Once at the bottom of the UAAP women’s volleyball standings, the FEU Lady Tamaraws have made a remarkable comeback, clinching a spot in the Final Four after a stunning victory over top-seeded UST.

  • FEU defeated UST in five thrilling sets, showcasing their determination and skill.
  • The Lady Tamaraws, led by rookie head coach Manolo Refugia, displayed resilience and teamwork throughout the game.
  • Rookie player Faida Bakanke delivered an outstanding performance despite facing cramps, scoring a game-high 21 points.

Player Performances

In the crucial match, senior spiker Jean Asis and star setter Tin Ubaldo played pivotal roles in securing the victory for FEU. Asis contributed 6 crucial points towards the end of the game, while Ubaldo showcased her excellent setting skills with 21 sets.

As the team looks ahead to the remaining games in the eliminations, Asis emphasized the importance of staying true to their “Be Brave” mantra and continuing to work hard and support each other.
