In a historic move, GMA Network and ABS-CBN Corp. have officially inked a deal to broadcast the popular “Kapamilya” noontime show “It’s Showtime” on GMA Network starting April 6.
Heartfelt Welcome
GMA Network warmly welcomed the entire “It’s Showtime” family on Wednesday, March 20, at GMA’s Studio 7. GMA Network Chairman Felipe Gozon expressed his delight by stating, “The fact that we are holding this signing here, we don’t need to say anything more about you being welcome in GMA.”
Strengthening Collaboration
Gozon emphasized the end of the network rivalry between ABS-CBN and GMA, highlighting the significance of the contract signing as a symbol of unity and collaboration between the two networks. He expressed optimism for future collaborations that would benefit the audience.
Mutual Gratitude
ABS-CBN and “It’s Showtime” conveyed their appreciation to GMA Network for providing a new platform to reach a wider audience and spread joy and entertainment across the nation. ABS-CBN President and CEO Carlo Katigbak praised the shared objective of both networks in delivering quality content to Filipino viewers.
Collaborative Efforts
This partnership marks a milestone in the relationship between ABS-CBN and GMA, following their previous collaborations in shows like “Unbreak My Heart” and the airing of “It’s Showtime” on GTV. The event was attended by key executives from both networks and the beloved hosts of “It’s Showtime.”
Exciting Future
The move to air “It’s Showtime” on GMA Network comes after the departure of TAPE Inc.’s “Tahanang Pinakamasaya” from GMA Network’s noontime slot on March 7, setting the stage for a new era of entertainment for viewers.
