Isaiah Thomas Signs Second 10-Day Contract with Phoenix Suns

The Phoenix Suns have signed veteran guard Isaiah Thomas to a second 10-day contract on Saturday, March 30 (Sunday, March 31, Manila time). Thomas, 35, has appeared in two games for the Suns since signing the initial 10-day deal on March 20.

  • Thomas is averaging 2.5 points, 1.0 assists, and 4.5 minutes per game.
  • He is shooting 40 percent from the floor and 50 percent from long distance.

His second contract expires on April 9, with four games remaining in the Suns’ regular season. The NBA allows for clubs to sign a player for up to two 10-day contracts before deciding on a longer-term commitment.

Isaiah Thomas’ Career Highlights

Thomas, a two-time NBA All-Star, last played in an NBA game 23 months ago before joining the Suns. He showcased his skills in the G League, averaging 32.5 points and making 25 three-pointers in four games for the Salt Lake City Stars.

During his peak, Thomas was an NBA All-Star in 2016 and 2017, finishing fifth in MVP voting when he averaged 28.9 points for the Boston Celtics in the 2016-17 season.

Throughout his career, Thomas has played for 10 NBA teams, including the Suns. He holds a scoring average of 17.6 points in 552 games over 12 seasons.
