Israeli Military Orders Evacuation
The Israeli military has issued evacuation orders for more areas in eastern Rafah and the northern Gaza Strip as part of its ongoing operations against Hamas militants.
Latest Evacuation Order
Residents in Rafah received evacuation orders via text and audio messages to leave parts of the city, including Shabura refugee camp, administrative area, Jenina, and Khirbet al-Adas neighborhoods. They were instructed to head to the coastal “humanitarian area” in Al-Mawasi.
Overcrowding Concerns
Aid groups and UN officials have expressed concerns about the overcrowded conditions in the area and the readiness to accommodate an influx of displaced people.
Reason for Evacuation
The Israeli military cited recent Hamas terrorist activities in the affected areas as the reason for the evacuation orders.
International Appeal for Protection
Saheb al-Hams, a hospital director in Rafah, appealed for immediate international protection for the Kuwaiti Specialist Hospital, which is among the places threatened with evacuation.
Continued Threat
The Israeli army issued similar evacuation orders for parts of Jabalia and Beit Lahia in northern Gaza, emphasizing the danger posed by Hamas’s efforts to rebuild its capabilities in the region.
