The attack took place at Al-Aqsa hospital while a WHO team was present to assess needs and collect incubators for the north of Gaza.
Israeli Military Denial
Israel’s military denied that the hospital was damaged, stating that it targeted an Islamic Jihad command center and terrorists in the hospital’s courtyard.

Tedros reported that 21 patients had died at Al-Shifa hospital in northern Gaza City, highlighting the dire shortage of water and medical supplies.
Renewed Appeal
Tedros reiterated the need to protect patients, health workers, and aid missions, condemning attacks on hospitals and calling for compliance with international humanitarian law.
Current Situation
With only 10 hospitals operational in Gaza, down from 36 before the conflict, the healthcare system is severely strained.
