Meet Joaquin Ludovice: Rising Star in Philippine High School Basketball
Even as the youngest player in this year’s NBTC rankings, UST’s Joaquin Ludovice proves he can hang with the country’s top high school basketball talents.
Background of Joaquin Ludovice
Born in 2007, Ludovice is one of the top high school players in the country, occupying the 20th spot in this year’s NBTC rankings. He was a key player in the Gilas Youth team’s campaign in last year’s FIBA Under-16 Asian Championship.
Hard Work and Dedication
For Ludovice, the recognition reflects the hard work and dedication he has put into his young career so far. Despite being one of the youngest on his team and in the UAAP, Ludovice has been proving himself through his performance on the court.
Impressive Performances
Ludovice has been instrumental in leading the Tiger Cubs to important wins in the NBTC tournament. He has shown his skills and determination by averaging 7 points and achieving double digits in three out of six games in the wildcard round.
NBTC National Finals
In the National Finals, Ludovice continued to shine, averaging 11 points in the first two games. Despite the team’s loss in the Fantastic Eight, Ludovice’s performance has been commendable.
Upcoming All-Star Game
Although the Tiger Cubs’ campaign ended in the Fantastic Eight, Ludovice will showcase his talent in the NBTC All-Star Game. He will be part of Alas’ Team Hustle, competing against Jared Bahay’s Team Heart.
