Kai Sotto Shines with Career-High Performance in Japan B. League

Kai Sotto, the 7-foot-3 Gilas Pilipinas big man, showcased an impressive performance in the Japan B. League, setting a new career-high of 28 points. Despite his outstanding display, his team Yokohama B-Corsairs faced an 81-75 loss to Alvark Tokyo.

Game Highlights

  • Sotto connected on 12 of his 15 field goal attempts.
  • He scored 8 of his 12 first-half points in just 7 minutes.
  • In the third period, he added 8 more points to give Yokohama a lead.

Although Sotto’s performance stood out, other Filipino players in the league faced mixed results:

  • Dwight Ramos scored 17 points for Levanga Hokkaido in a losing effort.
  • Matthew Wright and RJ Abarrientos scored in double figures but ended up on losing teams.
  • Thirdy Ravena struggled, finishing with just 3 points in a loss for San-En NeoPhoenix.
