Leonard’s Inclusion in the USA Basketball Roster
In a sign that Kawhi Leonard’s right knee inflammation continues to improve, the Los Angeles Clippers’ All-Star forward was named to the final spot on the USA Basketball roster for the upcoming Paris Olympics. Leonard’s inclusion came after reports of the USA roster surfaced, with one spot remaining unnamed until the team’s training camp.
Leonard’s Recent Performance and Availability
Leonard, 32, averaged 23.7 points with 6.1 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 68 games this season. Despite missing the final eight games of the regular season due to knee issues, Leonard’s availability for the playoff opener is yet to be determined by head coach Tyronn Lue.
