Marcio Lassiter Climbs to No. 3 Spot in PBA All-Time Three-Pointers List
Marcio Lassiter of San Miguel Beermen has moved up to the third spot in the PBA all-time three-pointers list, surpassing Ginebra veteran LA Tenorio.
Lassiter’s Impending Feat
Lassiter now has a career tally of 1,219 triples, overtaking Tenorio’s 1,218 after a remarkable performance in a 106-98 victory over Rain or Shine, securing a 2-0 lead for the Beermen in the Philippine Cup semifinals.
Approach and Mindset
Despite his achievement, Lassiter remains focused and humble, stating, “I try not to think about it. It is kind of hard when I keep looking up, like there goes my numbers.” He emphasizes maintaining a present-focused mindset and a next-play mentality to sustain his performance.
Breaking Records
With Lassiter’s current pace, it is only a matter of time before he surpasses the top two record holders, Jimmy Alapag (1,250) and Allan Caidic (1,242). Lassiter aims to honor these legends and views the potential record-breaking moment as something special.
“Just continue to slowly chip away. The next two are great legends,” said Lassiter. “One has the record, the second is, I feel like, the GOAT of shooters.”
