The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued warnings of “severe heat-wave conditions” in the region. The IMD recorded the alarming temperatures on Tuesday at two Delhi suburb stations, specifically in Narela and Mungeshpur.

As the heatwave intensifies, concerns about water shortages in the sprawling mega-city have been raised. The soaring temperatures not only pose health risks but also highlight the pressing need for adequate water resources to meet the demands of the population.
