Rhenz Abando Bids Farewell to Anyang Jung Kwan Jang Red Boosters

Rhenz Abando, the high-flying basketball player, has announced his departure from the Anyang Jung Kwan Jang Red Boosters after two successful seasons in the Korean Basketball League (KBL).

Memorable Journey with Anyang

Reflecting on his time with the Red Boosters, Abando described it as a roller-coaster ride filled with both highs and lows. Despite the challenges, he expressed gratitude for the learning experience.

Highlights of Abando’s Career

After achieving success with Letran in NCAA Season 97, Abando joined Anyang in July 2022. His impactful presence was felt as he contributed to the team’s victories, including the 2023 EASL Champions Week crown and the 2022-2023 KBL title.

Challenges Faced

Unfortunately, Abando’s second season was marred by a spinal injury that limited his playing time to 30 regular-season games. Despite this setback, he remained grateful for the opportunities and support from the Red Boosters.

Gratitude and Appreciation

In his farewell message, Abando thanked the Red Boosters for believing in him and allowing him to showcase his skills. He also expressed his appreciation to the fans for their unwavering support throughout his journey.

“To the JKJ fans, thank you for the undying support and believing in us. Win or lose, you guys are always there on our side. Thank you so much, and please still continue to support this team no matter what,” said Abando.
