Barangay Ginebra star Scottie Thompson shared his excitement as Olsen Racela, the deputy of the Gin Kings, has agreed to coach the Altas in the NCAA, following his tenure with the FEU Tamaraws in the UAAP.

Scottie Thompson, also serving as the team manager for Perpetual, played a key role in convincing Racela to take on the coaching responsibilities for the Altas.
Racela’s Return
Racela, a nine-time PBA champion and former FEU coach, will be stepping into the role previously held by Myk Saguiguit, who will now serve as an assistant coach for the team.

Thompson expressed his hope that the players will embrace the coaching transition, emphasizing the importance of supporting Perpetual as alumni.
Clarification
Addressing rumors, Thompson clarified that the decision for Racela to coach the Altas was independent of any involvement from San Miguel Corporation.
