Singapore has heightened security measures following an attack on a police station in Malaysia by an individual believed to have connections to an Al-Qaida-affiliated group. Prime Minister Lawrence Wong made this announcement on Tuesday.
Details of the Attack
During the incident on Friday in Johor state, Malaysia, located near the border with Singapore, a man armed with a machete attacked the police station. Tragically, two police officers lost their lives, and another officer sustained injuries in the assault.
