St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, is celebrated worldwide for bringing Christianity to the country. Despite his passing in 461 AD, his birthday is still commemorated in Ireland, a nation with a population of 5 million.

St. Patrick’s Day is not only celebrated in Ireland but also around the world, from Tokyo to Rio, Stockholm to Bangkok. The largest parade takes place in New York, attracting people of all ethnicities. In Chicago, the river is dyed green for the occasion.
St. Patrick’s Irish Charity Ball in the Philippines
The first black-tie St. Patrick’s Irish Charity Ball in the Philippines was a grand event at the Grand Hyatt hotel, attended by eight Ambassadors and 208 guests. The evening featured Irish dancers, a performance by Elle Adda Lane, a four-course Irish dinner, and music by The Irish Rovers band.
Paing Hechanova Youth Leadership Awards (PHYLA)
The PHYLA project, initiated by the Rotary Club of Makati, aims to recognize and celebrate the achievements of young leaders in the Philippines.
Recognition of Young Leaders
The nomination process drew participants from across the country, with finalists being honored at the PHYLA Gala Night at the Manila Polo Club. The event also recognized BIR Commissioner Jun Lumagui with the Youth Leadership Role Model award.

Recognition and Awards
The top 10 winners will each receive P50,000 and compete for the grand prize of P300,000. The nominating Rotary clubs of the finalists will also receive awards to support ongoing projects. The finalists participated in a boot camp to enhance their skills and projects.

The PHYLA Awards aim to inspire and encourage youth to lead and create positive change in their communities, with support from Rotarians across the Philippines.
