Stephen Curry Wins NBA Clutch Player of the Year Award

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry has been named the recipient of the NBA Clutch Player of the Year Award. This award recognizes the player who best delivers in crucial moments for his team.

Award Details

  • Introduced last year, the award is a prestigious honor in the NBA.
  • Curry received 45 first-place votes, 18 second-place votes, and 19 third-place votes, totaling 298 points from a media voting panel.
  • DeMar DeRozan of the Chicago Bulls was a close contender, finishing with 272 points.
  • Shai Gilgeous-Alexander from the Oklahoma City Thunder secured the third position with 160 points.

Curry’s Performance

Curry showcased exceptional performance in clutch situations, leading the league with 189 points. In these critical moments, he maintained impressive shooting percentages: 49.6% overall, 45.7% from three-point range, and 95.1% from the free-throw line.

The veteran player, a two-time league MVP, concluded his 15th NBA season with an average of 26.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game. He also maintained a solid shooting percentage of 40.8% from beyond the arc.

Despite Curry’s stellar performance, the Golden State Warriors were unable to progress beyond the Western Conference play-in round.
