UN Secretary-General and Security Council Extend Condolences to Iran

UN Secretary-General António Guterres, along with members of the Security Council, expressed heartfelt condolences to the people and Government of Iran in the wake of the tragic helicopter accident that resulted in the untimely death of President Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi.

Details of the Accident

The helicopter crash took place in a mountainous area in northwestern Iran and tragically claimed the lives of not only President Raisi but also Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and six other passengers.
