UN Office Investigating Allegations Against UNRWA Staff Members
A UN office has been conducting an investigation into Israeli accusations regarding 12 staff members from the UN Palestine relief agency UNRWA allegedly being involved in the Hamas-led attacks on 7 October.
UN Spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric announced on Friday that one of the cases has been closed due to a lack of supporting evidence provided by Israel. He mentioned during the daily press briefing in New York that they are considering corrective administrative action in that individual’s case.
Further Actions Being Taken
- Exploration of corrective administrative measures
- Continued investigation into remaining cases
