University of Santo Tomas (UST) showcased its prowess in UAAP Season 86 by clinching multiple victories across different events, culminating in another street dance crown and its seventh consecutive general championship.
Old-School Theme Triumph
UST Prime wowed the audience with their old-school-themed routine, portraying an elderly crew’s performance that stole the show at the Mall of Asia Arena. The team’s creativity and dedication shone through as they secured the street dance title for the second year in a row.
Season Highlights
UST’s exceptional performance throughout the season led to their remarkable success, claiming victory in 10 events and accumulating a total of 332 points in the senior ranks. The university excelled in various disciplines, including basketball, beach volleyball, table tennis, taekwondo, chess, 3×3 basketball, tennis, and the street dance competition.
Tribute to Seniors
Coach Chip Beltran’s innovative approach of incorporating an old-school theme not only impressed the judges but also paid homage to the elderly. The team’s attire, featuring barong tagalogs and Filipinianas, along with classic OPM music, added a nostalgic touch to their performance.
Junior Division Success
UST Galvanize continued the winning streak by clinching the juniors street dance division title, showcasing their talent and creativity. The university’s commitment to excellence was evident in both senior and junior categories, solidifying their dominance in the competition.

Other universities like Far Eastern University and University of the Philippines also delivered impressive routines, showcasing their unique themes and skills. The competition was fierce, with each team bringing their A-game to the stage.
