France: A Key Ukraine Backer

Xi Jinping’s first stop will be in France, a country that has been a key supporter of Ukraine in its conflict with Russia. Despite this stance, China aims to emphasize its “no limits” alliance with Russia to deepen political and economic cooperation with France.

Serbia and Hungary: Close Ties to Russia

Following France, Xi Jinping will visit Serbia and Hungary, two countries with historically close ties to the Kremlin. China sees these visits as opportunities to strengthen its presence in Europe and counterbalance its strained relationship with the United States.
