Zamboanga City Delegation Emerges as Champions at ZPRAA Games 2024
The Zamboanga City Delegation has clinched the top spot as the overall champion in the Zamboanga Peninsula Regional Athletic Association (ZPRAA) Games 2024. With an impressive total of 292 medals, including 102 golds, 97 silvers, and 93 bronze medals, Zamboanga City has secured its victory.
Medal Standings:
- Zamboanga City: 292 medals (102 gold, 97 silver, 93 bronze)
- Zamboanga Del Sur: 251 medals (101 gold, 71 silver, 79 bronze)
- Dipolog City: 240 medals (87 gold, 88 silver, 65 bronze)
- Zamboanga Sibugay: 110 medals (35 gold, 26 silver, 57 bronze)
- Pagadian City: 119 medals (28 gold, 34 silver, 57 bronze)
Other delegations’ rankings are as follows: Zamboanga Del Norte at 6th, Isabela City at 7th, and Dapitan City at 8th.
The competitions concluded at the Joaquin Enriquez Memorial Sports Complex in Baliwasan, Zamboanga City. To combat the intense heat, the organizers rescheduled outdoor games to late afternoon and evening slots, while indoor games were held in air-conditioned and well-ventilated venues. The 4-day qualifying games came to a close on Friday evening.
